Our Attorneys | William G. Hagans

William has been practicing as a trial lawyer since 2006. He has handled a wide-range of matters. For example, he has represented community banks, steel brokers seeking to recover millions of dollars from customers, individuals injured by another's negligence, and even a Grammy-nominated rock band seeking to recoup commandeered instruments in Beaumont, Texas. He has experience in commercial litigation, including insurance coverage disputes, bad faith litigation, financial services litigation, business torts, personal injury and negligence, and contract litigation. He has experience in state and federal courts, as well as probate courts, bankruptcy courts, and arbitration.

William began his career at Bracewell & Giuliani. In his first case as lead counsel, William's clients obtained a jury verdict in excess of $2.6 million for a pedestrian struck by a tow truck. William joined Hagans Burdine Montgomery & Rustay in 2011.

William graduated from The University of Texas School of Law in 2006, where he served as managing editor of The Review of Litigation. He attained his bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2002. He has published several articles in both academic journals and news periodicals. He is also actively involved in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and was named JDRF's volunteer of the year in 2010.
