Started as a tiny two-exam room medical clinic with a one-operatory dental clinic, Healthcare for the Homeless – Houston has grown to serve over 10,000 individuals from a vulnerable and marginalized population of homeless men, women and children. Its purpose is to provide long-term care for those who are unable to navigate the larger healthcare system and interim care for those who can transition into the public healthcare system. Healthcare for the Homeless – Houston also provides medical outreach to those who live on the streets and in single-night shelters.
